The Farmer, the Fox,
the Chicken,
and the Grain
A farmer has a bag of grain, a chicken,
and a fox. The farmer must travel to the other side of the river
in his boat but the boat can only hold the farmer and one other
item. If the chicken and grain are left together, the chicken will
eat the grain. If the fox and chicken are left together, the fox
will eat the chicken. How can the farmer get the chicken, fox,
grain, and himself to the other side of the river? |
