Control two
medium DC motors: 10 to 40 volts, up to 10 Amps continuous
each. Variable speed forward and reverse, plus free spinning
and active braking modes. Optoisolated. Just 57 x 53 mm (2.25
x 2.1 in) square.
Standardized connections with our other driver boards (pin
compatible with mini Dual H). Requires soldering. Includes
detailed instructions, schematic, app notes and sample control
program in Basic. Run both motors via PC parallel port, or
via any serial port by adding our Serial Motor Interface (#3-511).
Awesome motor control for bigger DC motors!
Maximum start up current or surges: 10
Amps at 12 V (possibly up to 20 A for very short periods
with good heat sinking).
Q: Can I connnect this to a standard R/C
(Radio Control) receiver?
A: The Maxi Dual has four digital inputs,
two for each motor. Speed is controlled by PWM (turning a
bit on and off at a rapid rate). To interface to an RC receiver
you'd need to convert the RC signal into bits some how. You
might use a BASIC Stamp or other small microprocessor.
Alternately, you might find it more direct
to use an RC speed controller made for larger DC motors.
They are readily available from suppliers of parts for RC
cars and such.
